Law Practice - Mr. Wilson's practice is concentrated on construction law & litigation (large commercial, industrial, highways). He has represented owners, architects and engineers, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
 
Construction Background -  Prior to practicing construction law Mr. Wilson was a member of the construction industry.  In fact, Mr. Wilson has been involved with the construction industry most of his life working his way through the ranks and ultimately managing $20 million+ projects.  His experience in construction ranging from trade work to project management and from residential to complex commercial projects. Mr. Wilson's broad range of pratical construction experience has included various projects found on Intermountain Contractors yearly list of the top construction projects. Mr. Wilson's broad range of construction experience has required him to work with contractors, architects, owners, developers, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, city planners, inspectors and others in their various trades.
 
Education  - Mr. Wilson received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas. While in law school Mr. Wilson was employed by the Office of Chief Counsel for the Kansas Department of Transportation where he dealt with various issues surrounding intelligent transportation systems and highway & bridge construction contracting.
 
Professional Association Involvement  - Mr. Wilson is currently a member of the Utah State Bar and licensed to practice law in all courts in the State of Utah, the United States District Court of Utah, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals and the Unites States Court of Federal Claims.
 
Mr. Wilson is currently a member of the American Bar Assocation's Forum on the Construction Industry and Section of Environment, Energy and Resources and a member of the Utah State Bar Sections for Construction Law and Energy, Natural Resources and Environmental Law.
 
Mr. Wilson is also actively involved with several trade associations related to the construction industry, such as the Associated General Contractors, American Society of Professional Estimators, Associated Builders and Contractors, American Public Works Association, Utah Society of Professional Engineers and the Utah Steel Fabricators Association. 
 
Publications - Mr. Wilson is the co-author of the Utah chapter to the national construction treatise State by State Guide to Construction Contracts and Claims - Chapter 48 -Utah, 2005, published by Aspen and all supplements (2006-present). Mr. Wilson has also written several articles on the construction industry for magazines, newsletters and other construction forums.  Mr. Wilson has been a guest lecturer for various trade associations, Lorman and NBI seminars.
