Mr. Scott is a shareholder in the law firm of Babcock Scott & Babcock where he practices in the areas of construction litigation and insurance defense. Mr. Scott has represented owners, developers, contractors, suppliers, engineers and homeowners in the prevention and resolution of construction claims and disputes. Mr. Scott received his B.A. from the University of Utah, with honors, and his J.D. from Brigham Young University J. Reuben Clark Law School. Mr. Scott is a member of the Utah State Bar and is licensed to practice law in all Courts in the State of Utah and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Scott is active in the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Sections of the Utah State Bar, and previously served on the New Lawyers Continuing Legal Education Board where he was involved in organizing and presenting Continuing Legal Education courses to members of the Utah State Bar. Mr. Scott is the author of Subcontractor Construction Defects: Are You Covered?, which was published in the Intermountain Contractor in April of 2008. Mr. Scott has been recognized as a Rising Star in Mountain States Super Lawyers Magazine and Utah Business Magazine and has been named among Utah's Legal Elite in the area of Construction law in Utah Business Magazine.
